Cousins

Over the weekend Caitlin, Noah and Austin had a visit from their cousin (and Aunty and Uncle – obviously!!  Little R didn’t get here all alone!)  They were all very excited to see her.  We also had Christmas all over again!!!  I couldn’t get over how big she was.  She is about 7 weeks older than Austin and Austin is a big boy (tall and wide), but R was a lot taller than him.  She also has loads of hair which is nice for a girl..Caitlin was a complete baldy!

They had a great time playing with her but soon it was time for her to go and Caitlin had a party to go to.  It was her very best friend from school who was having her 4th birthday party at a local soft play.  When we arrived it was completely hectic but soon quieted down after a party of 35 left!!!

Sunny weather!

Recently the weather has been very nice…all sunny and dry.  It’s still a bit cool but nice enough to venture out!  So today we went for a picnic in the park.  We played on the swings….

….had a picnic (which was a bit cold really but it didn’t rain on us!), and then we fed the ducks…

…as usual Noah ate a lot of his bread!  Strange really considering he pretends not to really like bread!!  Then we played on the swings a bit more before it was time to go and collect Caitlin from school!!!

The mini weekend!!

Every year the mini club have a weekend away.  This year we went to Cardigan in South Wales.  It seemed to take us forever to get there…it is all on tiny roads and at the end just dirt tracks!!!!!  We stayed in a big old house in the middle of no where!!

On the Saturday we headed out to Tenby beach.  Only about a 40 min drive but with a convoy of 6 mini’s and 2 normal cars it took a lot longer!!!!!!!  There was a lot of waiting….

…we waited for people stuck at traffic lights, people who had run out of petrol (and not the first time that weekend apparently!!!!!!), people behind slow cars, people lost at junctions….

We did finally get to Tenby and had some dinner before heading to the beach!

It’s a really lovely beach, but far to far to take the kids!!  We all got split up on the way home…some dodgy overtaking (and us not joining in…I like living!!) we were left behind, we had no directions so guessed the way back and somehow managed to be the first car back!!!  The other 2 mini’s behind us didn’t follow us and they got back just after us and the 3 mini’s ahead managed to arrive last!!!

In the evening we had a BBQ…yes it was freezing and no I didn’t venture outside I sat inside with the nice warm open fire!!  We then played some games.

On the Sunday we headed home…..to chaos but that is another post!!!!

Catch up time….

Wow it’s a long time since I posted!!  We were out at a wedding and then a party and then I got sick so didn’t post…..then I had so much to post I never had time for it….

So we went to a wedding (without the kids) at Manchester cathedral.  It was great, a very grand venue but also a bit strange that tourists still mill about.  There was a man in a kilt in the wedding party and loads of tourists kept asking to have their photo taken with him!!  Afterwards we went to the Midland hotel – also very grand and very nice.

The day after the wedding Caitlin and Noah had both been invited to a party.  I was a bit worried about it as it was in an ice cream parlour/chocolate shop!!  All of the adults were sent off to enjoy coffee and a rest and lots of food, I wasn’t expecting that and so had already eaten.  At first Caitlin was a bit unsure of being on her own but was soon having a great time and the host had arranged a sorbet for her instead of the ice cream so she had a lovely time.

Then I was sick so we stayed in for a few days….Noah and Austin were bored!!!  Richard was out car hunting!!
