Stockport County

Every so often we get free tickets to go and see Stockport County play, luckily we were free so we went along with 2 of Noah’s friends.  Noah wore his County kit and Caitlin & Austin wore their scarves!

I have to say County were rubbish!!  They lost which really was no surprise!!!  Austin got quite bored but Noah and his 2 friends had a great time!!!  I, along with his friends mum, thought there was a chance we could play better than them…and neither of us can play football!

Back to school

The holidays went far too fast and it was back to school! On the first day back Noah had 3 friends over for tea, luckily it was sunny and so they played football (well argued about hand ball and fouls) in the garden!  Just after they all went home our neighbours shouted over to come and look at their pond which was full of frog spawn!  We went to look and pinched a bit for Austin’s nursery as I’d heard the teacher mentioning their usual source hadn’t got them any this year!

We even borrowed a tank for them, although once I got them to nursery I got the impression they weren’t that keen on having them!  Ah well never mind!  We’ll see how they go!!

Passion for Power

The mini club had a stand at Passion for Power so we went on the second day.

Noah was really cheeky and was asking almost every car owner if he could sit in it!!!!!!  It worked though and most said yes!  The owner of this red car was really impressed he had asked!  She said most kids just got in without asking…..so I suppose it’s quite good that he was cheeky/polite enough to ask…..

There were 3 child size models…

..they were really cool!  There was also a stunt bike rider that Noah was fascinated by!!  He made Noah want a bigger ramp!!!

After the show we went for some tea where Caitlin got a swan for her pudding!!!!!

 

Relaxing end to the holidays….

We spent the last few day of the holidays meeting friends for pub lunches and soft play tea’s!!  We’ve also played in the garden now the weather has finally decided to warm up a bit!!!

The garden playing was going really well!  We dug out the battery-powered police bike and AA bike and they got the outfits out dressed up and drove around the garden!!  Then they decided to dig one of the (empty) flower beds….at which point Caitlin accidentally flicked soil up at Austin and somehow he ended up with a mouthful of soil!!!!!!!!!

…that was the end of playing in the garden………….

 

To the park

Today we went to the park with some friends…it feels like we haven’t seen them for ages.  The weather was surprisingly good….

….although it was very cold when the sun went behind a cloud!  We had taken a picnic and although we have had many picnics already this year it was their first one!!  We ate quite quickly because it was quite cold and windy.  After we’d eaten the sun came out again and it warmed up so we watched the kids playing for quite a while.  We then went to the little community farm there…I really wish I’d taken a video because the cows were mental!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noah had a great time winding the cows up…

…but I am convinced they were deranged!!  Our friends had to go home to let some builders in but just before they left we met some kids from school so we climbed some trees with them and then went back to the swings for a while before it started getting cold again and Richard was due home from work so we set off home…..

A trip to Nanny’s

The kids went to Nanny and Grandad’s for a few days. On the Monday they went to see Justin’s house and friends which they got tickets for at Christmas.

They loved it!!  I think Justin is a bit scary….but the kids had a great time!

On the Tuesday they went to Cheshire Farm – the ice cream farm.  They’d never been before and the photos looked brilliant!  They did all kinds of things while they were there including milking a model cow…

…they played crazy golf….

…searched for gold…

…went on go-karts…

…and went on some hover type car things….

They had a fantastic time and Noah especially loved searching for gold and has been tipping his treasure out and checking it for days!!

 

Mini’s v Beetle’s

We started the day with an Easter Egg hunt.  It was a good job I had planned one considering yesterday was such a cop-out!

After they had found their magazines, chocolate and more chocolate we went to Mini’s v Beetle’s

We saw all the usual mini’s and Beetle’s….

…and also some more unusual cars like a really fast miniature Postman Pat van…

…which was surprisingly fast!!  There were also little drag cars…

There was also an amazing wheely’ing fire engine!!!!!  It was brilliant!!

Austin got into cheering for the cars…

He was a bit undecided if he was supporting the mini’s or the Beetle’s…..but in the end the mini’s won…AGAIN!!!!!!!!!  Yay!!

On the way home we stopped off for tea where we found some snow!!
